I was talking with some friend about something in TvsC concerning the Advancing Guard. As you may have noticed, guarding in Tatsunoko vs Capcom is kind of semi-automatic, meaning you have to start guard yourself and the game will maintain the guard for the duration of an attack. But the Advancing Guard is one special case. Capcom official states that the advancing guard is to "[put] some distance between the two of you. This is very effective against aggressive opponents," and suggest "Instead of just blocking moves like the Shinku Hadoken, use the Advancing Guard to negate the first hit, then absorb the rest as chip damage. Don't let your opponent completely whittle down your health when blocking."

Quote:"use the Advancing Guard to negate the first hit, then absorb the rest as chip damage"

That's in-line with the semi-automatic perspective of the guarding system, however, if you continue pressing the attack buttons/triggers while advance guarding, you don't take chip damage and only sustain loss of red life. This is something not acknowledged, possible overlooked, by Capcom. Hmm...

So, for all intents and purposes, this will be considered a glitch, in the fashion of Wavedashing in Super Smash Bros. Melee, and "glitches" for 42Kmi, unless otherwise stated will be defined as
Quote:"replicateable happenings in a game that benefit a player and is initially unacknowledged by the game's developer"

A good definition because it covers all bases in terms of what could be considered a glitch versus what may be due to chance. So, have you noticed any other glitches in the game?
